So basically I've recently upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro, my problem is I am trying to upgrade to 64 bit as I am currently on 32 and need the extra power to run some of the Adobe products.

I have checked all my laptop specs and everything meets the requirements, I'm simply struggling to get the installation media to work once I've downloaded it onto a USB, I've done it three times now and still no luck! When I try launch the upgrade file manually it says it is not compatible and I need to check for a different version. The error I get when I troubleshoot the file is that it is Windows 8 and not 10 like I have selected on the media creation tool.

What could be causing this issue? I desperately need some help as I can't seem to find any threads or anything related anywhere. Switching from a bit architecture to a bit architecture won't give your computer 'extra power. That will certainly be an advantage for Adobe Creative Cloud but it won't improve your computer's ability to perform data-intensive tasks.
